OWCD has created a policy to allow the safe connection of customer owned distributed energy to the OWCD distribution system. At this time, OWCD will only accept applications for the addition of distributed Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Generation Systems of a maximum of no more than 125% of Customer load and which are located on the Customer premises, with appropriate integral voltage conversion, synchronization, power quality, and protection circuitry.
All Distributed Generation (“DG”) Systems coupled with or without energy storage must meet certain electrical criteria to be approved for connection to the OWCD distribution system.
